Objectives

  1. Implement real-time human motion capture to drive avatar smoothly using micro-sensors (MMocap).
  2. Develop real-time gesture and body language recognition, based on the motion capture data.
  3. Develop 3-D mouse functions using micro-sensors.

Research Focus

  1. Build Human motion model to represent the MMocap.
  2. Fusion of multimodal sensor data to acheive high accuracy and low drift.
  3. Fusion of the segemeted motion models to obtain whole body motion model.
  4. Build a power efficient and low error rate motion model.
  5. Human action/activity recognition system.
  6. Inter-communication issues in Body Sensor Networks
